The pig gut microbiome: the first gene catalogue is now available

The pig is a major livestock species in the world; it is also an important biomedical model. The INRA and their international partners published a gene catalogue of the pig gut microbiome.

This is the first publication of a the gut microbiome catalogue from a livestock species, arriving after the publication of the human gut microbiome in 2010 and that of the mouse in 2015...
